We are a National Association committed to helping individuals start or advance their career in the heavy equipment industry. We assist our member schools in providing their students with a relevant education that will help them succeed in the work force.

In addition to monitoring and approving our member schools, we also promote the heavy equipment industry to the world. Through a strong presence on the Internet and other forms of media, we strive to increase the awareness of the industry to the general public, which in turn makes a better market for our graduates to have a successful career.

NAHETS is a proud supporter of YellowMetal.TV - the media outlet for the heavy equipment industry. Yellow Metal TV gains media access to special industry events such as World of Concrete Convention, Consumer Electronics Show, and Associated Equipment Distributors/CONDEX, just to name a few.

NAHETS is currently developing a new task based curriculum, Yellow Metal Boot Camp - an outcomes based curriculum enhancement tool including text materials and video based training series that allows the student to have an instructor in their pocket when they view a video on an iPod, and then perform a drill out in the field.

NAHETS also sponsors YellowMetalUSA.com - a job searching website specific to the heavy equipment industry. Employers can sign up and post their open positions, and our current and former students can search for jobs any time the need arises.
